Advanced Manufacturing Partners (AMP) Announces a New Prototyping Facility in Austin, Catalyzing the Next-Generation of Advanced Manufacturing Companies

Advanced Manufacturing Partners (AMP), a company building and operating the most advanced prototyping facility in America, has announced that it selected Austin, Texas as the location for its flagship factory. AMP leverages its advanced manufacturing equipment and comprehensive capabilities to accelerate prototype development and scalable processing techniques, enabling rapid production scaling for domestic manufacturing.

AMP houses an unprecedented fleet of advanced machinery, notably the world’s first M 8K and cutting-edge systems from EOS, DN Solutions, Spinner, Solukon, Moly Cut, Zeiss and AMCM.  These systems, combined with a suite of trailblazing post-processing and finishing equipment, make AMP a comprehensive one-stop-shop for hardware firms developing, designing, building, and testing next-generation technology. This unique capability unlocks additive manufacturing at a size, precision, and speed not previously possible.

"AMP represents a pivotal shift in how hardware innovation gets done," said Nick Bass, Executive Director of Advanced Manufacturing Partners. "By lowering the barrier to entry for world-class manufacturing and accelerating the prototype process, AMP enables companies to iterate faster, scale seamlessly, and bring groundbreaking products to market at an unprecedented pace."

AMP’s unique offering solves several key challenges in prototype manufacturing, including:

  • Unlocking Economies of Scale: Small and mid-sized businesses can now leverage state-of-the-art production infrastructure without the burden of large capital equipment investments.

  • Accelerating Innovation Cycles: A dedicated prototype floor along with rapid prototyping, finishing, and comprehensive testing under one roof to significantly condense product development timelines. Companies can have their prototypes made in days, not months.

  • Scaling Beyond Previous Limits: Access to the world’s first AMCM M 8K, a large format metal printer, and next-gen laser technologies unlocks additive manufacturing at a size, precision, and volume not previously commercially available, enabling new types of designs for advanced hardware across multiple industries.

  • Intellectual Property Ownership: Unlike many contract manufacturers, AMP allows its customers to fully retain and own their intellectual property, empowering companies to take a successful prototype and scale it as they choose.

AMP is already working with customers and will host a grand opening and official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new facility in early 2027, marking a milestone for U.S. industrial capability and advanced manufacturing innovation.
